ABOUT GUMSHIELDS2GO

GUMSHIELDS2O is wholly Northern Irish owned and operated mobile mouthguard fitting service. It was set up in 2017 by local sports dentist, Dr Cathy Robinson BDS.
Her passion for making the custom fitted mouthguard more accessible and affordable to contact sports players, is the driving force of the company.

The concept of bringing the dental professional to the player makes access to the services required to fabricate a mouthguard easier, avoiding the usual hurdles which parents and players face when trying to fit dental appointments around already busy schedules.

THE ‘POP-UP CLINIC’ CONCEPT

GUMSHIELDS2GO have pioneered the mobile pop-up gumshield fitting clinic. We attend (by arrangement) your club, school, sports tournament, registration day or games afternoon, and our friendly and professional dental team will carry out mouthguard fittings. Following your fitting session, we manufacture your mouthguards and return them to your club/school liaison for redistribution. We welcome all enquiries for our services from both North and South of the Border.

We also hold pop-up clinics throughout the year at various shopping malls and public venues. Anyone is welcome to come along to these sessions and get fitted – just check out our event calendar.

We are renowned for our vast range of colours and designs, and can offer designs to clubs and schools to tie in with their kit colours. Our design service is free, and we can offer a number of options for clubs and schools to choose from.

We only use the finest quality of CE approved plastic to fabricate our mouthguards. Our dental technicians are trained to the highest standards and take extreme pride in the quality and protection of the gumshields we produce. All our mouthguards are individually hand inspected and disinfected before they leave our lab.

12 MONTH FIT GUARANTEE™

All our pop-up clinic mouthguards come with our unique 12 MONTH FIT GUARANTEE™. This means that should your mouthguard start to become uncomfortable within 12 months of purchase, we will adjust it for free. This gives our players confidence in our product. (Excludes orthodontic mouthguards and excludes damage from wear and tear, or by misuse – T&Cs apply.)

EDUCATION AND PREVENTION

We offer an educational talk to promote the benefits of wearing a custom fitted mouthguard and how to manage a dental trauma pitch-side. If you would like us to come to your club or school to deliver this and follow up with a fitting session, please get in touch. We also have a DENTAL TRAUMA EMERGENCY KIT designed for clubs, schools, leisure centres and the home. This provides everything that is needed to immediately manage a tooth-based trauma, in a user friendly, compact refillable kit. This will be available soon to purchase.

MOTIVATION

Gumshields2Go believe that every sports player regardless of age or ability should have easy access to the best protection for their teeth whilst playing their sport, at a competitive price and with minimal inconvenience.

STRATEGY

The customised mouthguard (often referred to as a dentist-made gum shield) is 1000% more effective than a ‘shop bought’ or ‘boil and bite’ style gumshield. It fits the player’s mouth exactly and absorbs impact much more effectively – thus reducing injury to the teeth, jaw, face and brain.

TACTICS

We also offer the convenience of coming to you* (by appointment) at evening training sessions, weekend tournaments, easter / summer camps and school games afternoons –avoiding the difficulty of trying to arrange dentist appointments around family and work commitments. Our Dental Laboratory

G2G has its own dedicated dental laboratory, allowing us to create our CE approved sports mouthguards on site. This allows us to produce a consistently high quality product in a shorter time frame. All of our mouthguards are individually hand checked before they leave our laboratory to ensure they meet our own exacting standards. We are proud of our product and want our players to be as protected from injury as possible.
